About the photographer
My name is Samuel Whittle, and I have been getting behind the camera for over twenty years.
I am based in the Derwent Valley and love sharing different aspects of my home island state, Tasmania, as seen through the lens of my camera. Tasmania has an amazing variety of landscapes with plants and animals to match. I have been particularly fascinated by the little details of the flora and fauna found around the isle. I have previously held an exhibition at Off Centre in the Salamanca Arts Centre.
When photographing people, I aim to capture real moments in the middle of the action, when people are being authentic.
